You have to explicitly install the self-signed CA certificate in IE as
follows:
- Create a file containing the CA certificate with extension .cer or .crt
- Double-click the file in Windows Explorer. This will start the Certificate
Import Wizard
- Accept all default options in the import wizard dialogs
Your CA is now registered as a root of trust in IE and all certificates
issued by this CA will
be deemed valid.
For users on the intranet, a page with a link to the CA certificate file
might be made available.
Users should be instructed to click on this link and select "Run from
current location".
