The present behaviour is that it prints a warning message; "Attempt to
use Name-Based VirtualHosting with SSL" (or words to that effect). It
will still start and serve non-SSL perfectly but will only serve the
first-defined SSL host if addressed on port 443. I think this is clear
enough for anyone who misses the point in the FAQ.

One thing which could be done is to re-write the FAQ item a bit more
clearly. I found it quite esoteric and hard to follow. I would volunteer
to draft it if the Keeper of the FAQ would like to contact me.

As for the noise on the list, call it Schadenfreude, but I find the
repeated futile attempts to square this circle quite entertaining ;->
