Hi!

I want to create client (personal) certificate that I will be able to import in
Web browser(MSIE, NN). Objective is to authenticate clients to servers.

I succesfully created my own CA (private&public key, self signed certificate) and
a server certificate which is signed with CA's private key (I used sign.sh
script-I followed guidelines in mod_ssl user manual ver. 2.6).
Server certificate is set on Apache Web server and my CA certificate is imported
in client browsers. Server authentication performs well.

However, I have a problem with creating client certificates. If sign.sh script
is used, it obviously creates server certificates, not client ones-when
importing the certificate in MSIE it can be stored only in Intermediate
certification authority store. What precisely do I have to do in order to create
cleint/personal certificate?

Thank you,

Mario Zgela
