Your "DNS entry" is not something that
is contained in the conf file. In order
to find a host by name you have to enter
a zone record on a DNS server. The DNS
servers scattered around the Internet are
what translate domain names to IP addresses.

When you registered the domain names with
a registrar (such as Network Solutions) you
had to enter the host names and IP addresses
for two DNS servers for each domain name
(primary and secondary DNS servers).

If you are not running your own DNS servers,
you will have to have someone enter the
zone records for you on their DNS servers
I had our DSL provider enter the zone
records for our domains on their DNS
servers for which they charged a one-time
$25 fee. It can take 48 to 72 hours for
the DNS information to propogate to global
DNS servers.
