Hmm, I can only guess, but do you have a /var/run directory into which
the socket can be created?
If this does not help, please check out the manual page of "bind" and see
what it states for EINVAL. ON HP-UX it says:
           [EINVAL]              The socket is already bound to an address,
                                 the socket has been shut down, addrlen is a
                                 bad value, or an attempt was made to bind()
                                 an AF_UNIX socket to an NFS-mounted
                                 (remote) name.
