I have just a guess for you: you might have a problem with your c compiler
and or debugger support.
For 10.20 there were patches for "pxdb" (if memory serves me right the
tool that puts debugging information for -g into the executable, but I
may be wrong), I don't know whether the same applies for 11.x
Please check out HP's patches for things like "ANSI C cumulative patch"
or "pxdb patch".
