I just built and tested mod_ssl with php on Linux system here with no
problems just to verify that it can be done (it can!)

This was done building everything as a module, and using the versions
you list above.

I'm not sure what you mean by this "multi-threading" thing, as far as
I know, php or Apache doesn't use threads at all.
