Trying to get mod_ssl in work, I faced following problem. Running 1] apachectl startssl 2] openssl s_client -connect localhost:443 -state -debug results in an error message in .../apache/logs/error_log: 'Invalid method in request ' ...which is followed by '80 40 01 03' (in Hex) The strange thing is, that I used the exactly same procedure to install apache + mod_ssl on FreeBSD, where everything worked fine. Now on SuSe Linux I have problems (even though I have the same httpd.conf file, or at least the same in the ssl-parts of it). I'm thinking about some problem with keys and certificates, which I generated for both the server and CA. Somebody to have an idea?
