Full_Name: Phil Allen Version: 2.8.2-1.3.19 OS: Solaris 7 Submission from: (NULL) (209.22.30.2) Compiled mod_ssl with shared enabled, openssl is made with shared libs, and as per instructions I do configure on apache and get a slew of Undefined functions in libssl.a. However, to get it to finish without errors, I have to make it with shared libs and not run apache's configure, just do make, make certificate, and make install. All paths and varibles set right it will compile to finish and even run httpd. But, when I run startssl I get this: "Syntax error on line 206 of /usr/local/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load libssl.so into server: ld.so.1: /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: /usr/local/apache/libexec/libssl.so: open failed: No such file or directory" The lib is fine, in the right place, and I can even load via command line. Apache says it's probably not them. Is there a sure fire way of building Apache with mod_ssl? Or, should I just quit my job and go on welfare?
