Excuse me, I'm new:
I've got the new server up and working, however I had several errors
when I tried to instantiate the SSL server. I thought I'd run these by you.
I followed the manual to the letter regarding the installation of the
mod_ssl and I've now got a apache webserver working through the new copy.
When I tried to call the https: protocol it gives me a "Security
failure: Data Encryption Error". When I was instantiating it from the
prompt, I got errors on several lines in the httpd.conf file. Here are the
lines that errored:
<Virtualhost _default_:443>
SSLEngine Switch
SSLEngine off (syntax incorrect or spelling error)
SSLCipherSuite (syntax incorrect or spelling error)
SSLCertificateFile (syntax incorrect or spelling error)
and several other lines that look just like the example. Once I remarked the
lines out I could execute the "./apachectl startssl" from the prompt,
however, prior I would get an error at the prompt. I'm missing something,
however I can't figure out what, however I still can't log into my box using
the https protocol. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
