Hi list members,

I have a problem using apache 1.3.17 with modssl 2.8.0 openssl 0.9.3 and mm
1.1.3, LINUX 2.2.16.

If I start apache under "root" (this makes it possible to use the ports 80
and 443) there are some conflicts in ~www/logs. The files are
httpd.mm.<pid>.sem
ssl_mutex.<pid>
The files have the owner-id 99 (not defined at my system) and "rw"-rights
only for the owner. This prevents apache from handling the requests. A lot
of message will be stored in error.log, e. g. "Permission denied".
If I run apache under another user (with ports 8080 and 8443) all is o.k..

Any ideas what happens?

Thank you in advance.

Alexander
