I have successfully compiled ModSSL with OpenSSL and Apache a number of
times without problems, the last time with

 Apache/1.3.19
 mod_ssl/2.8.2 and
 OpenSSL/0.9.6a

It worked fine on a Sun Solaris 2.8 (gcc 2.95.2)

But when I compiled it on a similar machine I cound not start Apache with
SSL. SSL Log:

Init: Seeding PRNG with 0 bytes of entropy
Init: PRNG still contains not sufficient entropy!
Init: Generating temporary RSA private keys (512/1024 bits)
Init: Failed to generate temporary 512 bit RSA private key (OpenSSL
OpenSSL: error:24064064:random number generator:SSLEAY_RAND_BYTES:PRNG not
OpenSSL: error:04069003:rsa routines:RSA_generate_key:BN lib

Apache starts wihout SSL and I can generate a dummy certificate. (I also
have some real certificates but I'll use them when the servers are
working.)

As far as I can see, everthing is the same on both machines.

Can anyone give me some pointers, where to look.

Yours
Mike Middleton
