I have a listen directive inside an IfModule statement :

        Listen 443

If I request http://localhost:443/ I get the index.html in the root 
of the site directory.

Using https://localhost:443/ I get the error I cited earlier.

I'm listening on 80 and 443, and don't have telnet enabled on this 
machine (just ssh).
