I upgraded my web server last night from (apache 1.3.14 and mod_ssl 2.7.1) to
(apache 1.3.20 and mod_ssl 2.8.4). The system is running on Mandrake 7.2. The
regular apache stuff (port 80) seems to be working fine. However, the server
is not listening on port 443 at all. Also, there is no indication in the logs
that it is even attempting to initialize 443. /usr/lib/apache/libssl.so
exists and is "x" everyone. Also, my statup script seems to generate the
-DHAVE_SSL parameter based on what it finds in the /usr/lib/apache directory.
Here is the output from ps with parameter list:

httpd -DHAVE_PROXY -DHAVE_SSL -DHAVE_ACCESS -DHAVE_ACTIONS -DHAVE_ALIAS
-DHAVE_ASIS -DHAVE_AUTH_ANON -DHAVE_AUTH_DB -DHAVE_AUTH_DIGEST -DHAVE_AUTH
-DHAVE_AUTOINDEX -DHAVE_CERN_META -DHAVE_CGI
-DHAVE_DEFINE -DHAVE_DIGEST -DHAVE_DIR -DHAVE_ENV -DHAVE_EXAMPLE
-DHAVE_EXPIRES
-DHAVE_HEADERS -DHAVE_IMAP -DHAVE_INCLUDE -DHAVE_INFO -DHAVE_LOG_AGENT
-DHAVE_LOG_CONFIG -DHAVE_LOG_REFERER -DHAVE_MIME_MAGIC -DHAVE_MIME
-DHAVE_MMAP_STATIC -DHAVE_NEGOTIATION -DHAVE_REWRITE -DHAVE_SETENVIF
-DHAVE_SPELING -DHAVE_STATUS -DHAVE_UNIQUE_ID -DHAVE_USERDIR -DHAVE_USERTRACK
-DHAVE_VHOST_ALIAS

Any ideas? Where else can I look?

Thanks,

-Eric
