Have you tried adding this in your httpd.conf
SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE.*" "nokeepalive" "ssl-unclean-shutdown" "downgrade-1.0"
"force-response-1.0"
It may prevent (but not correct) your problem with IE
