I've had the same problem---testing without dependencies installed. And no
response from the testers. Seems to be a fairly recent phenom, at least in
my experience (only in last one or two versions of my modules). I've no
recommendation, just pointing out that the boat you are in may not have
paddles, but at least you have company!!
