svn is still more common and easier to both install and use on more
platforms, which might be relevant given that M:B needs to be debugged
across many many platforms.

Of course, since I'm not a committer I don't really count...

Just noting that it's not necessarily all rainbows and puppies, so if
svn is working fine it's not compulsory that you move.
