The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:       Apache::EmbeddedPerl::Lite
  DSLIP:       bdpOo
  description: mod_perl embedded perl parser
  userid:      MIKER (Michael Robinton)
  chapterid:   15 (World_Wide_Web_HTML_HTTP_CGI)
  communities:

  similar:
    HTML::Mason, HTML::Embperl, Mojo::Template, Tenjin

  rationale:

    Licensed under the Apache Software License, not one of the choice
    presented.

    HTML::Mason, HTML::Embperl, Mojo::Template, Tenjin and similar
    modules are all heavyweight, have complex interfaces and generally
    require expert installation and maintenance.

    Apache::EmbeddedPerl::Lite is a small light weight module (less
    than 50 lines of code) that leverages mod_perl_1 or mod_perl_2 to
    allow a user to write plain, ordinary Perl in html files and use all
    of mod_perl's capability from within that html page. The module has
    a very small footprint and NO DEPENDENCIES other than the particular
    flavor of mod_perl running on the server. Hence the name ....Lite

  enteredby:   MIKER (Michael Robinton)
  enteredon:   Thu May 23 00:51:26 2013 UTC

The resulting entry would be:

Apache::EmbeddedPerl::
::Lite bdpOo mod_perl embedded perl parser MIKER
