If you have the WebMail set to use POP3 as the protocol in the Modus
Console there is NO way to get these messages back. You can actually
set WebMail to use IMAP instead, which is what we do on all of ours now.
This allows at least things to happen. One, you can access webmail
while popping down mail without getting an error and the other is, it
solves the problem you have right now. The e/u can configure their mail
client to use IMAP (or they can use webmail) and then they can move all
their mail back to the inbox. Then they can use the POP client to
retrieve all of their email.

Subject: [Modus] POP3 access to Webmail folders

* This is the modus mailing list *

I have a customer who after using only Webmail for a while, and having
organized all their mail into folders, needs to POP3 them to his home
machine.

It appears that once messages are moved from the Inbox to another
folder,
they are marked
as deleted and cannot be retrieved using POP3.

Furthermore, the Inbox isn't consistently treated as a folder - it
doesn't
appear in the folder list,
so messages cannot be moved into it, whether manually or via rules.

Does anyone know a way around this? Can I do anything clever with the
.msf
files in the user's
Webmail directory?

I've had it in there for a day with no complaints so it's pretty safe to
say
it's fine. :)
