Hello Laurent,
I use MySQL with the extended DB with no problem also. Do you use MySQL
for the Quarantine as well?
Thanks.
Lewis

No, not for now.

Rick,

Vircom's answer is going to be that they do not support mySQL. But, I
am
using it for mail and RADIUS authentcation.
The problem I had when using mySQL with my bookkeeping system
(Optigold) was
that it would not insert a null record in the domain field for the
mail. I
am not using the extended db, just a generic one.
To get around this, I had to move my "default" mail domain to another
domain
and create a dummy default domain. That way I could insert a domain
name
into the db records. If the field was blank, not null, users could not
log
in to the mail.

Good luck,
Rick

Hi Rick,
I know this doesn't help you find the problem but I can tell you that
I use
MySQL as the backup DB for pop3 authentication. Thanks. Lewis

I found the name of the table (vopmail) but have other problems now.
First of all, can I use MySQL for the database or do I need to use MS
SQL? I set the table up with all the fields using MySQL but when I
try to add a user from the Modus Admin console I get an error message
saying 'Unable to add [EMAIL PROTECTED]'. I can't find any additional
error messages in any log and there is no option to test the database
connection. The ODBC connection does work and I do have the
user/password set in Modus. The domain does have database checked.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this?

Rick
