I've noticed what might be a potential bug in Web Mail thanks to a few people who have posted to the list. I had noticed this in the past when using VOP Web Mail and I'm not sure if it affects Modus Web Mail or not. Basically, when messages are sent via the Web Mail interface and the user has not set a 'Real Name' via their settings, or the admin left it blank in the Console, then the message goes out with a blank from address as shown by the following header: From: "" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Modus] Spell checker Help Date: Tue, 4 Nov 2003 19:21:29 -0500 (I should point out that I know Neil, whose header it is currently still uses VOP Web Mail). The issue with the above header is that clicking Reply in Outlook does not pick up the address correctly and hence replying to those messages requires manually re-typing the email address in the To field, or a cut 'n paste. Unfortunately it appears this is handled by the Vircom COM Objects and hence cannot be fixed by tweaking Web Mail (I haven't checked if there is a From property off the NewMessage object which sends the mail, and will do so a bit later as that will allow us to override this). In the meantime however, I would like to ask any off you using Modus Web Mail to check this and let me know if you experience the same issue. I have also sent this to Vircom Support so that they can log it and check for future versions.
