no problem from my end since i enabled modus's fast dns. the only reason i couldn't run it before was smtp timeouts when national dial up customers tried to send mail. we are also running a zone on our dns servers for spamhaus and all that works fine with no false positives to my knowledge.

i however share a hatred for spews.

Running over a year on 14,000 mailboxes (mix of business and residential) .... no false positives. I'm very happy.

I for one do NOT use Spamhaus as last I checked part of their list is derived from SPEWS?

I've had some dealings with SPEWS in the past and they are far from reasonable.

Examples:
1.  We hosted a website for the business of an individual.  There had been 0 complaints regarding the site.  He happened to be a brother of known spammer so SPEWS blacklisted our server.

2.  SPEWS routinely blacklists entire class C networks rather then individual IPs and has blocked servers we had based in Rackspace (in the US) more then once.

Given the chance for false positives I'd rather not deal with customer complaints and am surprised none of you are seeing any.

Perhaps I'll have to check on spamhaus again.

I would venture to say that almost every Modus user that uses RBLs, uses Spamhaus.  I personally have been using it for many months and have not heard of any complaints like that.

Does anybody have any experience with this RBL.  I attempted to use it once but all emails from Hotmail and AOL got rejected.

Thanks
