Try editing the value for spamcount to 1 then see if you can do the update in QA and get it to update it to 2, if so then I would think the trigger will start working. I just tried implementing them, but I can't get it to work. I setup the new table (tblCounter) Created a new Field (SpamCount, int, Null) And created the Trigger on tblMsgCatalog. (If I try to edit the trigger in Query Analyzer, I get the following text to edit: ALTER TRIGGER [SpamCounter] ON [dbo].[tblMsgCatalog] FOR INSERT AS Update tblCounter set SpamCount = SpamCount + 1 This appears correct to me, however, nothing is happening. I think there may be something wrong with the table itself, as if I simply run: Update tblCounter set SpamCount = SpamCount + 1 I get a "(0 row(s) affected)" response. Do you have any idea what I may have done wrong?
