Hi Robert,
 
I'm not sure that you are 100% correct when you say that the error does not impact the update.
 
I had the issue after I restarted the server. I posted this to the list a couple of days back.
 
Until I did another restart today I did not receive updates.

The (0x!08X!) is not impacting the actual update, customers are receiving the update from Vircom.  The (0x!08X!) is fixed in the next service patch.
 
Was the zipped file password protected?

Guys,
 
    A virus that was zipped got through our Mail Server today (to my eMail). The virus was Dropper.Mimail and our Virus Updates for Normal (Modus) are from 11-12-2003. I tried running a manual update and I am still getting the error message, "Result: Error updating '!s!' (0x!08X!)". I kept the virus / email incase somebody wants it :P
 
So I guess there's no resolution on this issue yet?
