* This is the modus mailing list * Lyris ListManager (www.lyris.com) has the features you are looking for, and it can handle massive quantities of email. The latest version has the ability to put together both HTML and text newsletters, embedded tracking links, SQL Server (and others), etc. It's a bit pricey for the full-blown version and it's more of a mailer than an editing tool, but it has been around for many years. We own the pro version and use it for several small discussion lists (1000~2000 members).
