Ever since we upgraded to this latest build (277) the amount of SPAM that gets into
the quarantine has almost decreased by 50%.

Yet, I cannot detect an increase in the spam that is getting through - meaning, my
email boxes are not seeing any spam.

I'm puzzled at the coincidence. Has anyone else seen this?

 Spam caught
 20964 12/12/2003
 20320 12/11/2003
 41418 12/10/2003
 40158 12/09/2003

We upgraded early morning on the 11th.

Subject: [Modus] (FROM VIRCOM) Two important Announcements

* This is the modus mailing list *

Good day everyone,

We have released Modus 3.0, build 277 on our web site. This version does include the
ASP upload fix, and a new ModusAdm service which should help the more heavy users
among you. Please read the release notes for more details.

This build has REPLACED build 273 as the "official" version for Modus. To download
it, simply go to the Vircom web site, click on "support", then "Downloads". Simply
download the software as you did when 3.0 was released.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If (AND ONLY IF) you have downloaded the 277 build before (Beta
Testers and people with specific issues), make sure you have installed patch3. If you
are unsure contact support or read the Beta tester mailing
list. Those of you upgrading to 277 now do not need any patch.

We're also getting our new web site ready, so we've frozen updates to the old ones
unless absolutely necessary (that is why the new release is not announced on the web
site). It could be up later today but more likely later this week. The most
noticeable change for current customers will be the new "My Vircom" pages, which will
decrease the amount of useless information you have to sort through to get to what is
relevant to you. It will show the products you have purchased and the relevant
documentation.
It will also let you use a login/password method, or use your existing product key
(but it will only ask you once).

Comments on the new website will be welcomed when it's up, but I just wanted to warn
you of the changes in case you are blinded by it's beauty.

Regards,
