I believe this is a common problem, as it has been raised in the past by multiple contributors to this list (myself included).
We are thinking of removing the Delete All button from our reports until this issue is (hopefully) resolved.

several min. to delete with the delete all button and quite often we get an

messages at the same time it max's the CPU. could I just be haveing
problems with the sql machine?? the database is about 700K we are only
keeping 5 days worth of messages. It is runnig on a P4 2.6 with a Gig of
ram and a ultra 160 scsi drive.
