I just bought two new Dual Xeon Servers with SATA-150 RAID, specifically
passing on SCSI.
Whatever arguments that can be made (right or wrong) about needing SCSI for
some applications won't even apply to you until you triple (at least) the
number of accounts you serve.

Subject: [Modus] Server Spec recommendations
* This is the modus mailing list *
I'm looking to upgrade one of my mail servers' hardware at the same time
that I upgrade the software. This server hosts maybe 50 domains and 5000
accounts, with about 130,000 messages in our 5-day quarantine. Most of
these accounts are Extended Database.
My question is, should I hold out for a SCSI Raid system, or can I make do
with SATA Raid (Intel controller, probably) at half the price?
Thanks,
--Ernest
