This I believe is a known problem that was fixed in release 282. That is one of the reason I had to upgrade before Christmas.

Subject: [Modus] Corrupt attachments, anybody else see this.

We have been on Modus L for a week or so now.

I have recently had two different customers report that attachments they send are corrupt on the recieving side.

Here are the specifics of one of the customers:

They put a number of files into a zip file (approx 1 meg in size)

After the zip they can open the zip file no problem.

They send the zip file (SMTP through our server) to me and I recieve it corrupt (zip file can't be opened.)

I had them FTP the file in and it is fine, I can open it.

I email it to my self and I get it without corruption.

The corrupt attchment is increased in size by 200 bytes.

If they use their Pac Bell SMTP server, it goes through without corruption.

They are able to send me another zip file without corruption through our SMTP service.

This is recreatable.

I have had another customer report today that they sent a file to a number of people (a .doc file) and everybody locally (on our modus server) recieved it OK, but anybody outside our network got it corrupt.

Very odd clues and wondering if anybody else has recieved any odd reports like this.

Robert.

Subject: [Modus] moderate.dll

Hello,

I just updated from vopmail to modus mail L

I have a number of users that use the moderate.dll to manage their mailing lists (release messages, etc.)

It is not working on this install all I get is the error  "Internal server error"

When I use the old moderate.dll (with the new modus L install I get:

Error!

The Mail List :- '%s' at '%s' could not be opened.

Error code: 87.
Explanation: The parameter is incorrect.

Go back to :-

Login page

I'm on NT4.0 and so don't have .NET to use the admin tools new to modus.

I know that I have to have the system path set to include the install directory, which it is, any other ideas?

Does anybody know what moderate.dll depends on in the install directory?

Robert.
