This might back up my Argument in that Forbidden or Corrupt Attachments get marked as SPAM with a category 0.

One possible way out is to schedule a small SQL Job to check for this and update the category just prior to running the QT reports. Could prove to be a bit kludgy but should get you through until Vircom provide a proper fix.

Subject: [Modus] Fw: SMI Spam and Virus Report

I reviewed my spam reports and noticed the same issue with not being able to release certain messages.  I did some searching in the database and found the messages do in fact exist but their category is set to 0.  This must be causing issues when the report generator tries to creates the quarantine reports. As a quick fix I did an update query to the database and set all messages with a category of 0 to 41 and re-ran the quarantine reports.  The messages now show up in the reports as releasable with a spam type of miscellaneous.
