Yes.  And I just did it again to get the latest update.  I did step 2
yesterday and it fixed it for a couple of hours and then we had the same
problem show up later yesterday (and today).  Every time I have to shutdown
the scanning service it causes mail to queue up and results in several
minutes of delivery delays for customers, who never cease to notice, report
and be bothered by such things.  

While we wait for you to figure out what is going wrong and fix it, I would
like an easy way to manually check to see if there is actually an update
that I need before going through the process of shutting down, killing and
restarting services.

Did you follow the instructions (step-2) from Vircom Website, you should
not have to reboot the server. If step-2 doesn't work, please email
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and we will take a look at your situation

How can I tell if the anti-virus definitions are updated to include
MyDoom.B
protection?  I'm still getting program did not complete in time errors
and I
don't want to reboot the server or restart services unless it is
absolutely
necessary.
