Yes, we are aware of it. :-) Can you confirm that in your case problem goes away if mod_wsgi 2.8 is used and that it only affects daemon mode and not embedded mode. To add another data point, can you supply output of running: httpd -V and the contents of the file: /usr/local/share/apache22/build/config.nice FWIW, I have been trying to setup FreeBSD under VMWare, but Apache is failing even to start up, possibly hanging trying to do some DNS lookup when validating Apache configuration. I have been quite busy as still not able to find much time to do stuff since moved house.
