I checked this morning and the design of the Mulberry panhard rod fixing is 
such that at the fixed end bolted to the chassis you refer to, near the fuel 
pipe the panhard rod is bolted to a universal joint on this end allowing the 
other end attached to the spring on the other side to go up and down, the 
vertical distance between the rod and fuel pipe is about. 1.5 inches, so the 
rod at the other end would have to lift about 6 inches I guess for the rod to 
touch the fuel pipe (I suppose I could do the trigonometry and work it out), 
anyway but the the tyre would be touching the wheel arch. So it looks good, 
anyway thanks, it was worth checking.
