Greetings

Morgan's are fragile and they scratch easily and really do not like the wet.
Modern cars have most trim and fittings made of plastic ....your car is metal
and metal to metal means scratching. Just a few personal thoughts:

1. Do not ever enter or exit the car with something in your hands. You will
do this regularly with your other cars. However you don't don't have the angles
and leverage issues. Also kindly help passengers in and out....I have damaged
trim through big people with sharp edges about their clothing trying to squeeze
in and out.
2. Use different cleaning brushes and sponges for those you keep for your
other cars.
3. Put a cloth between the folds in the hood and the plastic window when
the hood is down.Fine particles of dust on the hood will scratch the window
otherwise.
4. The sidescreens are a secure but flimsy fit.....look for chaffing
against the door....it will mark/burnish the paintwork. Insert some pads
possibly. Have a look.
5. Careful on securing the clasps on the hood to windscreen surround. Very
easy to get a misalignment on the clasp when attempting to secure and therefore
scratches can happen.
6. Learn to live with nonsense.....dashboard gauges mist up when you have
driven the car in the wet! Chill....
7. The car is vulnerable to some stone chipping (the aerodynamics and use
of plastic trim protects modern cars more). Get a paint match and a few
millilitres. Touch up by screwing up a piece of newspaper and dipping the
'pointed' end into paint and then into the defect. Applies only a small amount
of paint into the area rather than onto the whole area.
8 . Start to look for speed bumps and crawl across them. Obvious I know but
by scraping the car over them you will make the chassis possibly vulnerable to
subsequent corrosion.
9. Mogtalk is fabulous...although technical. There are a core of owners
who keep the thing bubbling and often use it as an email solution. Posting
anything on travel trips etc is seen as 'non u'! Talk Morgan has a greater
reach and I would use alongside this forum if you have questions.
10. I am not inclined or often able to do a lot of the work many of the
forum do or enjoy! The dealerships are also helpful and if you use one then get
there early and leave later to look around their workshop and other
cars.....you will pick up hints etc
11. Just remember she's fragile!

Lastly you will grow to love her.....enjoy!
