Hi Terry,
I have owned a 4/4, plus 4, plus 8 and a Caterham, plus TVR's, Porsches,
Lotus's etc.
Your decision really depends on your preference for lightness or power. My
plus 8 (1996 3.9 non-cat) was a very different car to my 4 cylinder
Morgan's, far more of a fast GT and in my opinion less agile. I currently
run a 4/4 with 180 bhp 2.0ltr VVT engine giving the best of both worlds
really.
None will match the madness of a Caterham (I've just driven the CSR) but you
can still have great fun with a well prepared Morgan.
All the best.
Rgds
Mike

Subject: [mogtalk2] Need some advice please..New Morgan

Hi Everyone,

Not sure that I'm in the right place, but I'm thinking of buying a Morgan
and am looking for a bit of advice from an impartial source.

I've just sold my Caterham R500 - I got really fed up with the ridiculous
performance, uncomfortable ride and strapping myself into a 4-point-harness
[I'm not getting any younger or lighter!!].

I'm looking for the most comfortable ride possible [especially when cruising
at around 70 mph] and for something that will age gracefully with me!!

I would really appreciate your thoughts on the most appropriate model for me
- the obvious options seem to be between the 4/4 and the Plus 4.

Any help would be appreciated.

Terry Holland.
