As indicated I had the switch as the culprit and several of you pointed me in the correct direction as to a replacement stalk. My Ebay gamble of £12.50 paid off! It arrived about 12.00 and is now fitted and working! I was fortunate when it failed as it must have been only a couple of days after the Mot! The wipers on my 99 +8 have began to have a mind of their own. The normal rotating stalk fails to spur them into action, but flick the stalk down and they operate fine for a single sweep. Fuses have been checked and found to be OK, on the off chance that the flick facility is getting power from elsewhere. My money is on the switching contacts within the stalk being shot. Does anyone know what the model source of this item which has two stalks is? I see it is a Lucas item but cannot see a part number (I will have to remove the steering wheel to remove the unit!)
