You know there's a Morgan Dealer on Woodward now. I got the impression he doesn't actually know much about the cars, last time I went in there.
There was a rather fine 1950s Cadillac at the Historic Wheels Rally today. I'm not sure of the year (I don't have the programme to hand) but I'd guess about 1955/56. With a chrome Edelbrock pancake filter on top, I guess it may have been breathed upon. I have a shot of it parked between an Austin 7 Chummy and a Morris Minor. A trifle incongruous. The only other Detroit machine was a late 60s Mustang with the 289 cu.in. V8. An oddity was something that at first glance vaguely resembled an Allard when it went past. Turned out to be a fancy body on a Citroen 2CV ! Cheers, Owen. ----- Original Message ----- From: jeffrey smith To: mogtalk2 Sent: Monday, August 13, 2012 12:39 AM Subject: Re: [mogtalk2] Why? And GTM frolics & news from the Motor City Will do! (and it's actually available in Dallas, along with Sanders hot fudge) Can't get a decent coney island hot dog here, though. Wish I was attending the Woodward Dream Cruise back home later this week!
