Hi Gerry, Thanks for the response. I'm just fitting from the cat back and that was expensive enough particularly as the existing exhaust is a solid stainless jobby as well but too noisy for me not being a boy racer type (in sound requirements that is). The shield seems to be in a neither nor position. It's not facing a wing or the chassis and seems to be doing nothing at present. Just an idea of where it is positioned would be appreciated Gerry thanks. I may need to tighten the "flexible" joint to the manifold as it seems awful loose to me but I'll wait till I've fired it up tomorrow before adjusting it. I needed a new engine mounting as well and they are morgan specific and a factory item only. They have 235 left in stock if anyone needs one but they are a whopping £58.00's plus vat and due to needing it asap had to get it picked up from the retail counter and forgo a discounted price from my normal supplier. Cheers, John

I have a similar 4/4 to yours and, as far as I can recall, the heatshield is just fitted between the cat and the rest of the body. If you like I'll take a photo tomorrow and forward it onto you. If you are fitting the manifold too, you'll need a deep socket to fit the extended studs in the cylinder head. I also had to wedge the outlet pipe clear of the chassis hole, before finally tightening everything up. Gerry.
