Not sure if this is relevant to your thread Andy, but I have 195/60 x 15 Yokohama C-Drives on my 4/4. Gerry.

I too have a real issue on this , not with speed bumps (yet!) but with the sill of my garage onto the pavement where I need the 2 plank method to get over it on 60 profile tyres. I have looked long and hard and just cannot find anything to compare with Toyo Proxes TR-1... The closest I have come is the Yokohama A538 which is used on the Smart Roadster, but although better than the C-Drive, Avons or other options. I have even considered buying a set of 16 inch rims (Minilites) so that I can use the Toyo Proxes in 205/55 x 16 which will give approx the same ground clearance, I would rather not take this (expensive) step if possible. Does anyone else have any experience of 15 inch 60 profile tyres that suit Morgans in general or the +8 in particular. I fitted a set this time last year on my Plus 8, and the difference in the wet from the Pirelli "ditch-finders" is tremendous. But I lose something like 4/10 inch in ground clearance due to the move from 205/60 to 205/55. Quite obviously I used to be within 4/10" of quite a few speed bumps, including one on my shared driveway. I now keep two pieces of plank at that bump just to get the chassis cross-member over it. So, question for anyone, next time round, is there anything which is available in 205/60 that offers anything like the Toyo Proxes' wet performance? I'd trade some of it in to get my ground clearance back. Or what about 195/65? Fractionally more ground clearance than the original, but obviously not the same in extremis dry grip. Arguably no worse in the wet, and probably better for trials? However, I can revert to my original Rostyles, which I still have, with tyres with more grip. Probably do this and hopefully be allowed to enter at a revised date, Roy. The whole idea of the Club Car Trials is that you can drive a standard model without ANY modification. Last year (or the year before) Ian Charlesworth entered his Aero 8! It's a bit like sprinting, have a go, talk to others and then make any changes you feel may make an improvement. You may otherwise spend money unnecessarily. Just my thoughts.
