Thanks for you guys input. We have a k8s cluster and so I will be using the command line ./script/my_app daemon [options] to run the server as what Scott suggested.
This is for PROD and the app was originally on a standalone machine and used to be run under hypnotoad, and I want to move it to the k8s environment. Daniel.
