Luc, I've taken a look at the code to refresh my memory and get a sense of what needs to be done, and I'm willing to spend some time working on this. I'll start in earnest tomorrow. The first thing I want to do is switch to using Net::LDAP directly and make sure the tests pass and I haven't broken anything. Support for LDAPS will already be there, though I'll add some notes to the plugin's documentation to make this clear. After that, I'll turn my attention to adding support for certificates.
