Hi all,

I have started to use btrfs on some systems. So far so good, snapshots and
copy on write and other such useful features.

Are any of you using it with monit? Of course there is a variety of things
I could do by calling scripts and using exit codes but it would be nice if
there was a bit more built in. In the web interface btrfs having dynamic
inodes makes that "not supported" readout a bit redundant too. Is this
something planned for future versions?

A lot of the hardware level stuff I can cover with scripts using
smartmontools, Dell omsa/ipmitool to check disk temps and health etc.

Is there anything else I should check besides the obvious stuff like the
mounted volume permissions and accessibility and free space. Anything with
fragmentation status or scrubbing perhaps?

thanks,

Graham
