Description of Problem:
the open-vm-tools are installed, but aren't working.
This is partly due to the fact that the .desktop file to launch vmware-user is
broken. But even if you launch it manually, you don't get the desired
functionality.
Specificaly, this is what's broken:
* no mouse in/out
* no drag/drop
Also, it appears we might need to run vmware-user-suid-wrapper script instead,
since we're not running as root:

vmware-user-suid-wrapper is not set uid by default. We might have to manually
change this.
