https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=650180#c4 --- Comment #4 from Oskar Berggren <[email protected]> 2010-11-01 10:57:55 UTC --- If it is dropped, would it be technically possible for distributions (and users) to instead use official Npgsql 1.0, with assembly binding directives so that 2.0.0.0 is redirected to the true Npgsql 1.0, if a recompile isn't possible? Npgsql 2.0-series is already at 2.0.10.0, which would then _not_ be redirected of course. (I'm a bit foggy on exactly how assembly redirecting works, and of course this assumes that the API really is similar enough to be compatible.) If it is infeasible to drop it for Mono 3.0, could all public API be marked deprecated, with encouragement to use the official version instead? I suppose there needs to be some agreement about if having it in Mono is a problem, or if it's only me that thinks so. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
