I'm just hoping that Novell's ownership of Mono doesn't awaken the dormant patent litigators at Microsoft.
It could be argued that, since Mono is Open Source, it doesn't really matter who owns it. On the other hand Microsoft has much more to gain now by suing Novell for patent enfringment than it ever could have had by suing Ximian. I wonder what rammifications this has for the future inclusion of Mono in XD?
