Two things: 1) Using a gentoo package, I would suggest filling a bug at http://bugzilla.gentoo.org first. We (the gentoo developers) appreciate this as it might very well be a bug in our packaging. We (the mono developers) also appreciate this because it allows us to spend time nailing down mono bugs, not downstream packaging bugs.
