You mean by changing access classes (ado.net)? Another thing with MSSQL is very well Visual Studio 2005 integration in design time. I just tried to work Firebird DDEX provider for VS2005, things doesn't go so smooth like with MSSQL (trying to do some stuff from MS examples, where they uses MSSQL)
