If you provide the following minimal layout, mono_set_dirs ()
isn't necessary:
bin\app-that-embeds-mono.exe
bin\mono.dll
bin\libgmodule-2.0-0.dll
bin\libgthread-2.0-0.dll
etc\mono\ <- copy of C:\Mono-2.4\etc\mono\
lib\mono\ <- copy of C:\Mono-2.4\lib\mono\
