Hello,
In fact the RHEL/Centos distributions of mono are discontinued. Last stable version was 1.9. If you want to get the latest versions you must compile them from tar files. I've tried to do it on my Centos 5.3 server and succesfully obtained the core system : needed dependencies are hard to obtain and not always compatible with other components on your system. I've gived up on compiling monodevelop .... Now i work with a SUSE distribution and everything is easier ... I dont want to spend almost 1 week on compiling every time i get the newer version of mono ... Jon James wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > I'm new to mono and somewhat new to linux.
