This discards the possibility to use flat files. I think it would be a good idea to at least allow the possibility of isolating mono from the windows registry with a configuration option. Reason I brought up the text file issue, are: 1. reduces dependancies on third party libs. 2. readability - never underestimate the power of a text editor to change configs 3.
